This was required, oddly by many for teaching. Probably since it was written by vet school people. I don't understand how a coloring book is going to teach you anything. I would rather spend my time reading, studying and using 3D computer programs. I guess it could be helpful to show clients, other than that, I never used it for class and just wasted my money. There are great 3D programs that cover in detail much more than a remedial coloring book. I feel outdated bu perhaps some people learn this way
Very basic. Expected more for the price. Needed to use Google to get more information on anatomy.
Interesting book on the anatomy of dogs and how by coloring the different locations to assist in learning them. This not what I thought it was going to be, but I did learn a lot of information from it. It is a school text book for vet students or anyone interested in the dogs anatomy.
Thought the price was a little high for it simply because when I got it, it had lots of colorings & markings in it from someone else. Wasn't expecting it to be used.
I required this book for a class on Canine Massage. It is great !!I had used one for Human anatomy and the idea worked. I was glad to find that they had one for Canines and Horses.I suggest using copies of you pages as coloring pages and keep your original clean. I also enlarged several of the major plates.I then took them and hung up and located the bones on my dog.
This book has been very helpful in relating to the dog anatomy. Since I use human anatomy in my human massage therapy I have found dog massage therapy helpful for some of the critters who suffer too. I needed to see the anatomy of dogs to relate in cranial anatomy. This is a great book.
Well written and informatively illustrated, this book is useful for the pet owner, especially if you want to understand your dog's health issues and your vet's recommendations. The book design itself, using paired pages of text and illustration, is excellent for both reference and study. Generally, I consider used books to be a good value. In this case the only pages the previous owner colored over (sloppily!) were the 4 plates depicting the digestive system, which are the most important for me at the moment. So using and comprehending those 4 illustrations is a challenge. (If you need perfect, go for new.) Overall, plenty of useful info for the pet owner; a good investment.
I am extremely happy with the purchase of this particular book. As a student of Animal Bowen Therapy, I require information that is explanatory and easy to understand. This book is all of that and more. The pictures are simple and it is very easy to see the different aspects of the anatomy of a dog.I received the book in wonderful timing and as always, found the transaction to be easy and non fuss. I will continue to shop for my books this way as it is 9 times out of 10 the cheapest and best way to do it.Virginia EdeAustralia
