This is likely the most complete and detailed reference available on the subject of Cannabis production, covering everything from the basics of gardening to the construction of large growing facilities, plant diseases and problems, breeding and genetics, pest control -- you name it, it's covered here, and in amazing detail, profusely illustrated with beautiful photos and informative graphics.Interestingly, the foreword is written by Vicente Fox, former President of Mexico, whose country and people have suffered the worst of the so-called War on Drugs, and whose insights are especially poignant. Beyond that, there is a brief discussion of the history of medical cannabis, and not a great deal on the subject of legalization. That's for the better, as the situation regarding both medical and recreational cannabis is changing so rapidly. It should be noted that while the main focus of the book is on medical Cannabis, the information is equally valid and useful for those who live where either personal or professional Cannabis production is legal.Beginning with a general overview of the growing process, there are detailed chapters on everything from seed selection and germination, indoor and outdoor gardening, hydroponics, lighting, life cycle and flowering, harvesting, and post-harvest processing and preservation, and troubleshooting the various problems that come up. The information is not just there, but it is well organized and presented, so you can look up and find what you need. I was especially impressed by the illustrations of nutrient deficiencies -- rather than just the usual leaf photos, there are illustrations that show how each deficiency manifests itself throughout the plant; I found this helpful because, at least to me, most of the deficiency photos look pretty much the same by themselves.There is so much here that it's difficult to summarize it all -- no way to, in fact, other than just to say, if you are involved in the world of Cannabis production, THIS is the book you want! It's a very large book, 8.5x11 inches, and heavy as a brick. But for a resource that has pretty much everything you could want to know, and top-quality production, it's the brick of gold you'll be glad to have.Thanks, Jorge, for this tremendous resource!

Brilliant and descriptive photos accompany the fountain of knowledge written in this book. One can genuinely feel the amount of effort put forth to produce such a gift to the cannabis world. Valuable information on not only cultivation but also for medical patients who need info on the different varieties that pertain to their individual needs. Included are the many modern ways to extract, consume and get the maximum benefits of the plant material. Scientific information included in many chapters to support the info.There's even a recipe section for cooking with cannabis and the many options for this. Got this book for my Grandma to read as her cannabis bible. She absolutely loves it. I took a look at the book myself and it was unmistakably clear as to why. It is PACKED with detailed photographs and information on just about every topic you can think of. If you have a question or concern, then you will definitely find the material you're looking for in here. Worth every single penny.Whether you're an experienced cultivator yourself or just an enthusiastic amateur learning the ropes... you will find everything you want to know in this book. It's not formatted chronologically.. meaning it doesn't baby you through seedling to harvest, but rather true to it's title in that it really is an ENCYCLOPEDIA!! All of the information is there. You just need to know what you're looking for. If you're looking to have your hand held.. then you may want to purchase this book along with something much more beginner oriented. Everything any grower, experienced or novice needs to know to grow a great crop is in this book! It is long and full of details but the novice can easily pick out the basic info to start their first crop. The only shortcoming I have found so far is the information on LED lighting is outdated. At the time of writing the book I think the jury was still out on LED lights. There is some info on LED's but not much. Well the jury is in and LED lighting is a great choice so if you need lots of info on LED's you might look for a book with more current info on LED's.
